As a senior pipeline engineer, your primary responsibility will be to translate the requirements of development teams into automated solutions that align with the organization's architectural standards and automate processes to meet departmental goals. The role requires strong technical, communication, and documentation skills to effectively plan, design, and engineer new global solutions that operate reliably, efficiently, and securely. Security and automation are key focus points, and all solutions revolve around this mindset. You will explore new possibilities in the market, conduct pilots to assess their viability, and oversee their implementation, development, and operational aspects. Your tasks involve:
- Designing solutions to enhance mainframe development processes in collaboration with development squads.
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines from scratch, using GIT, Azure DevOps, etc.
- Setting up the architecture to engineer the CI/CD pipelines for other teams to use.
- Automating processes to meet departmental goals.

You will operate in a complex environment where mainframe, distributed, and cloud technologies must seamlessly integrate. Mainframe applications are primarily written in COBOL with CICS and DB2, while development technology includes a mix of cloud and on-premises x86 architecture. Tools such as Azure DevOps, GIT, Eclipse, VS-Code, Urbancode, ADDI, Python, and Groovy are commonly used.

- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in IT education.
- Relevant experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines from scratch, using GIT, etc.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role (Azure DevOps engineer).
- Practical experience with solution designing and CI/CD architecture (Archimate, DYA, TOGAF, etc.).
- Affinity with maintaining Mainframe environments.
- Proficient in using PowerShell script or similar scripting technologies and ability to automate processes.
- Good communication and documentation skills (verbal and written - English).
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, willing to search for answers.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and financial services.

- Holiday pay: 8% of gross annual salary.
- 25 Vacation days + 0.5 bonus day per quarter if you have remained fit and healthy (i.e., do not report sick).
- Travel allowance: 23 cents/kilometer.
