As a Data Center Consultant, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the quality and development of the services we provide to our customers. Within this team, you serve as the 'technical conscience' and sparring partner for the clients.
Your role involves bridging the gap between customer needs, products, and engineering. High-level product knowledge is essential to understand infrastructure setup and the requirements and potential complications during migrations, upgrades, and other changes. You will assess current data center infrastructure, identify inefficiencies, and evaluate system performance and reliability. You will recommend hardware and software solutions, propose virtualization and cloud technologies, coordinate with suppliers and internal teams, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Supporting daily management of data centers, training personnel, monitoring performance, and implementing improvements are also key aspects of your role.
Working primarily with Windows-related products, including ESX, Cisco UCS, NetApp Storage, VMware, and IBM Pure, you will actively participate in drawing up roadmaps or tenders to optimally support and advise our customers. As a key link to our service organization, you will manage complex changes, internal and external projects, and new customers or equipment, ensuring knowledge is shared and secured. In the event of high-impact disruptions, you and the team will resolve issues in line with SLA agreements. You will use your expertise to inspire team members and have a clear vision of automation to simplify management tasks, adding value to our data center proposition.
