- Resolve incidents related to dysfunctional functionalities (e.g., printers not printing correctly, barcode scanners failing to read codes or process transactions into SAP, IDocs not being processed correctly). You will work based on SLAs to resolve incidents within the specified timeframes per category.
- Run and extend archive jobs, clean tables, and investigate the introduction of new SAP functionalities to prevent incidents or replace custom solutions with standard ones.
- Provide user support, including responding to various user queries, offering advice on change requests, performing routine tasks like rescheduling jobs or extending selection criteria in jobs. Use TopDesk for managing service requests.
- Initiate changes driven by the business to extend or modify existing functionalities. These changes are discussed based on urgency and feasibility in the Change Advisory Board, which includes a business representative and a team lead.
- Conduct impact analyses to propose solutions, estimate realization costs, determine feasibility with standard SAP customization, identify development needs, clarify requirements, and estimate deployment costs. Summarize findings for the team lead to discuss further.
- Participate in projects initiated by the Program Board, typically multi-year projects (2 to 5 years) that usually last more than six months. Projects include a project leader, scope, planning, resources, governance, etc.
- As an Application Engineer, your role in the project will be determined by the project lead. You may serve as the primary contact for all IT-related matters, acting as a bridge between IT and project stakeholders.
