Network Engineer AV

• Setting up networks and integrating the AV products at customers that they use to stream and transport AV media and Voice over IP networks;
• Responsible for design and implementation methods to ensure best practices are used and to optimize strategies and recommendations;
• Integrate new network solutions into existing infrastructures of international customers;
• Responsible for product support services for video and audio streaming products;
• Continually working on your own development.

This international organization is globally a successful producer and manufacturer of professional AV hardware. In order to run the hardware they develop in house applications with the help of Python.The main office of Europe is stationed in the Netherlands and therefore the support for their products also takes place here. As an addition to their network team, the organization is looking for a Network Engineer.

As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for setting up networks at clients who use the products to stream and transport AV media and Voice over IP networks. You are capable of integrating new solutions into an existing infrastructure and to solve complex  network problems.
For this role you have knowledge of VOIP, Cisco, switches, routers and preferably systems that use UDP traffic, including streaming media protocols. You act at minimum CCNA level and are willing to learn everything about the AV world!

The organization switches cross country on daily basis. Therefore it can occur that you will have calls with for example Poland, Denmark and Sweden on one day! This guarantees varied work because you have to take into account a diversity of cultures. When any bugs or issues return systematically, it is possible to make a test setup in the inhouse lab of the organization. This way you can replicate the problem yourself and come up with a solution. • Hbo work and thinking level, preferably demonstrated with a diploma in IT. In addition, you are CCNA certified;
• You have at least 2 years of relevant work experience as a Network Engineer;
• You are a specialist in the field of AV or have the ambition to become one;
• You are experienced in setting up networks and you have knowledge of routers and switches such as Cisco and/or Juniper;
• You are familiar with or willing to become familiar with systems that use UDP traffic, as well as streaming media protocols such as RTP, RTSP, etc.;
• Excellent command of the English language in speech and writing.
